2021 Agriland FS Foundation Scholarship Recipients

AGRILAND FS, Inc., a farmer-owned cooperative, is proud to have the opportunity to award a total of $10,000 in scholarships this year. This includes ten $1000 scholarships to 2021 high school graduates or current college students. Each scholarship will support students from the company's geography planning to pursue a major in an agriculture related field of study. 

“This is a great opportunity for the Agriland FS Foundation to invest in the education of our future generation of leaders who have selected agriculture as a career,” states John Knobloch, AGRILAND FS General Manager. “We are extremely pleased to sponsor these scholarships that will benefit youth, agriculture, and the communities we serve.”

2021 scholarship recipients include:

Thomas Bates, son of Brian and Jacque Bates of Stanton, is a current student at Northwest Missouri State University. Bates is pursuing a degree in Agriculture Science.

Wyatt Brinegar, son of Doug and Janet Brinegar from Ottumwa, Iowa, graduated from Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont High School in May 2021. Brinegar plans to attend Kirkwood Community College to pursue a degree in Diesel Truck Technologies.

Roy Carter, son of John and Kim Carter of Washington, Iowa, graduated from Washington High School in May 2021. Carter plans to attend Iowa State University to pursue a degree in Agriculture Business.

Ethan Holdsworth, son of Travis and Tina Holdsworth of Denison, Iowa, graduated from Denison Community School in May 2021. Holdsworth plans to attend Des Moines Area Community College to purse a degree in Welding.

Carter Larson, son of Eric and Brandi Larson of Clarinda, Iowa, graduated from Clarinda High School in May 2021. Larson plans to attend Northwest Missouri State University to pursue a degree in Agronomy.

Mikaela Lawrence, daughter of Michael and Lori Lawrence of Lorimor, Iowa, is a current student at Southwest Minnesota State University. Lawrence is pursuing a degree in Agronomy.

Hank Looney, son of Gabe Looney and Lisa Sawtelle of Creston, Iowa, is a current student at Des Moines Area Community College. Looney is pursuing a degree in Agriculture Studies and plans to transfer to Iowa State University in the spring.

Bryce Maguire, son of Michael and Kay Maguire of Logan, Iowa, graduated from Logan-Magnolia High School in May 2021. Maguire plans to attend Des Moines Area Community College to pursue a degree in Agribusiness.

Karson Oberhauser, son of Bobbie and Kane Oberhauser of Hopkins, Missouri, graduated from North Nodaway R-VI in May 2021. Oberhauser plans to attend Northwest Missouri State University to pursue a degree in Agriculture Business.

Rakenzy Pryor, daughter of Zach and Dana Pryor of Afton, Iowa, is a current student at Graceland University. Pryor is a pursuing a degree in Accounting, Business Administration, and Ag Business.
